It is available in two bead sizes designed for the Insulated Concrete Form Industry and other Shape or Custom molding applications requiring fast processing. This product contains a flame retardant and the molded expanded polystyrene has been classified for flammability properties by Underwriters Laboratories, Inc., Underwriters Laboratories of Canada, and the Canadian Standards Association to show compliance with the building codes of North America. These products also meet applicable industrial, military, and federal specifications. Extir does not contain CFC or HCFC. This grade is characterised by fast moulding cycles, good fusion and low energy needs combined with a high mechanical strength and a good surface finishing. Extir B 3000 AE is used for production of shaped mouldings with section greater than 8 mm or medium-high density blocks. Extir B 3000 AE is used mainly in building and industrial packaging applications where, for legislative or safety reasons, the use of a flame retardant material is required. Extir B 3000 AE is also suitable for the production of skin moulded items. Typical applications are: industrial packaging (e.g. cathode ray tube protection) medium-high density blocks for thermal insulation moulded panels for underfloor heating moulded, insulating drainage panels moulded or block-cut building components
