It is used in Nail lacquers, Coatings, Adhesives and Inks. Description and Application KETJENFLEX® MS 80 is the liquid version of KETJENFLEX® MH the most widespread plasticizing resin for nitrocellulose based nail lacquers. KETJENFLEX® MS 80 has the advantage that it can be easily poured into formulation during the production process. KETJENFLEX® MS 80 imparts improved adhesion and wear properties and generally provides the lacquer system with a shiny glossy appearance. KETJENFLEX® MS 80 can also be used as plasticizing resin in solvent borne coating and ink formulations. Here KETJENFLEX® MS 80 acts as a non-migratory plasticizing co-resin improving the adhesion and gloss of the system. Description and Application KETJENFLEX® 9S is a basic starting material in the preparation of high pressure melamine formaldehyde based laminates. KETJENFLEX® 9S imparts improved impact resistance, reduced shrinkage and wrap of the hardened laminate. KETJENFLEX® 9S can also be used in low pressure melamine formaldehyde laminates, urea formaldehyde resins and as reactive plasticizer in epoxy, polyurethane and melamine based resins. In addition, systems reacted with KETJENFLEX® 9S show improved resistance to oils, solvents and moisture. KETJENFLEX® 9S has good UV and thermal stability. In coatings it imparts fungicidal activity.
