COSMOPLENE FS5612 is suitable for skin layer as sealant material when co-extruded with Homo PP as core layer, for heat sealable and metalizable BOPP applications. FS5612 contains no film additives like slip and antiblocking agents. FS5612 complies with U.S. FDA Regulation 21 CFR 177.1520 (C) 3.2a, as long as it is used unmodified and processed according to standard manufacturing practices in the industries. This new grade is produced using a non-phthalate catalyst system favored by customers in applications intended for food contact. The film viscosity achieved with Moplen EP310J HP offers good processability on cast, blown and BOPP lines. This polypropylene heterophasic copolymer exhibits high impact, good puncture, good tear resistance, high seal strength and seal integrity.
