RAMAPET P184 has an IV of 0.84, has good optical properties and the mechanical properties are representative for a PET resin with IV of 0.84. RAMAPET thermoplastic polyesters are condensation polymers produced by a continuous melt-phase polymerization process followed by a solid-state polymerization process. Typical applications include carbonated soft drinks (CSD), carbonated and still water, household products, pharmaceutical, and general purpose containers. The product is also suitable for film & sheet applications. RAMAPET R180 contains a moderate level of a "clear" reheat additive which does not compromise the bottle appearance. The formulation gives a better reheat consistency than PET without reheat, allowing the blowing of more complicated shapes and an efficient blowing of the latest, light-weighted preform/bottle designs. The use of reheat additive provides significant energy saving up to 30% when reheating preforms.
