MD0592 has been designed to be used as a base resin for striping and jacket compounds for use in pressure pipes made of MD0898. Addition of a UV stabilizer should be considered where the intended application involves intermittent to extended exposure to sunlight. Suitability for use in any application should be determined by appropriate performance testing. MD0898 offers excellent chemical resistance and slow crack growth resistance. MD0898 will provide excellent resistance to the effects of ultra-violet light exposure in outdoor applications due to well dispersed carbon black. MD0898 has been designed for extrusion into a full range of pipes, where medium density, PE80 Type B resins are required. MD0898 is suitable for use in the transport of a wide range of fluids for industrial, rural and mining applications, including potable water. Suitability for use in any application should be determined by appropriate performance testing. MD0898 complies to AS/NZS 4131 2010 for PE80 Type B pipe compounds. It is intended to be used in pipes conforming to AS/NZS 4130.
