RETAIN™ 3000 functions to enhance the dispersion of the polar polymers into the polyolefin matrix such that the haze of the resulting structure is minimized. The utility may be achieved where the polyolefin is either a polyethylene or polypropylene. In tie layers for flexible packaging, AMPLIFY TY 1060H promotes adhesion of polyethylene and polypropylene to barrier polymers such as polyamide and ethylene vinyl alcohol (EVOH). The functionality of this polymer also promotes adhesion between metal, polyolefins, cellulose, polyester, polycarbonate, glass, and foil. For linear low density polyethylene film structures: Typical blend addition level is 20-25% for EVOH and 10-25% for polyamide. For polypropylene film structures: Optimal adhesion performance is obtained when using a polypropylene dilution resin with an MFR of less than 3.0 (230 °C/2.16 kg).
